HFC NEWSLETTER (2nd Edition)

What has happened: The Filipino Cultural show that was held last June 13 has been a success! The programme started with a welcome address from our president, Mrs. Eva Rodrigo, followed by showcase of dances, songs and poetry from our members. The fabulous kids and the fantastic adults displayed an array of talents from graceful dancing to melodious singing to heart warming poetry. The affair has been successful because of unending support of our members, old and new, and the used to be inactive members became very active. To all the participants, the young and the wise, the parents, the choreographers (Marlon, Princess, Carmela and Randy) and to everyone who in one way or another has contributed to the success of the event, thank you very much!
As requested by the chairman of Maharlika, the organizer of Yorkshire Barrio Fiesta, most of the acts from the very successful HFC Cultural Show, again displayed their graceful dancing talents at the Barrio Fiesta in Leeds. In addition to these, 3 of our cute little girls escorted by our little Mr. Pogi(s), were amongst the sagalas. Everyone enjoyed, and the thrill of riding in a double decked bus made the day out fantastic and memorable! The president was inundated with requests for another "excursion".
